Personal Development

With our RESPECT agenda underpinning everything that we do here at TPA and ensuring that we ‘live’ our vision, we are determined to view each child as an individual in how they develop on their journey through the school.

There is a Time to be Adventurers…(experience grid), that details the things that the children will have the opportunity to experience during their primary education. This builds as they move through the school ensuring progress in the Core, STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Humanities and Cultural elements of the curriculum.

Children’s strengths in subjects beyond English and maths are recognised and built upon during their time at the school, with every child being given the opportunity to join a funded sports club. It is important that we make sure that we are tracking the extra curricular activities that each child is accessing. This helps  to ensure that there is an inclusive approach to everyone's personal development.

Our Careers Fair in the Summer term works alongside our Aspirations Day, (Time to think about what I want to be when I grow up…), with the children thinking about their futures. This is then linked back into subjects and other activities than they enjoy and in which they have recognised strengths.
