TTB Religious Investigators

As religious investigators we are finding out about different beliefs and traditions across the world.

Religious education is an important part of our school as it helps us understand how to value others and reflect on the way we look at the world. We want the children to know that all religions and cultures are to be celebrated and respected. We do this by introducing the children to a variety of religions and cultures from around the world including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, as well as having a philosophical look at Humanism in Year 6.

Through an interactive curriculum, R.E. at TPA gets the children to immerse themselves into different cultures, so that they can explore the wider world they live in. Using key concept questions across the three school terms the children are guided through engaging and thought provoking activities to explore religion.

The children will develop their moral awareness and social understanding through religious education, as it promotes spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) thinking. Using an in depth evaluation of the information the children learn over a term they can develop into empathetic, kind and tolerant citizens.

Our religious education teaching ensures that all children at TPA are able to:
  • Discuss thought provoking questions

  • Explore their own beliefs

  • Build their sense of identity and belonging

  • Develop respect for others

  • Consider their responsibilities
